Windsor Square Business Manager Selected for Snohomish County Council on Aging

This week we're giving a shout-out to Angela Martin, Business Manager at Windsor Square Senior Apartments in Marysville, WA! Angela was recently selected to serve on the Snohomish County Council on Aging. The council works closely with local government to preserve dignity and independence for senior citizens.

After an application process, Angela was selected as one of 7 new council members. She will meet monthly with other council members to assemble recommendations for Snohomish County on how funds should be allocated to programs surrounding mental health, senior centers, chemical dependency, disability, providence plautive care, and a legislative board.

Each council member selects a specific board to collaborate with, and Angela hopes to work directly with the legislative board. She considers a senior voice crucial to local government and wants to promote communications with congressmen and governing bodies. In addition, she hopes this will prove a valuable resource for her residents in bringing guest speakers and other critical information to her community, educating her residents on topics like health care reform.

Angela joined the team at Windsor Square in 2005 as the activities director, then transitioned into the business manager role in 2008.
