Bridge Meadows | Portland, OR |
Leasing an apartment to someone is much more than a warm body paying rent. We as leasing professionals, community managers, and portfolio managers are effectively handing someone the keys to their home when they choose to lease an apartment at one of our communities. At Bridge Meadows (Portland, OR) the apartment they live in is only a small part of what makes this community home.
Bridge Meadows began with a unique mission: provide affordable housing for seniors who are on low or fixed incomes, and provide housing for families who have chosen to adopt a child from the foster care system. Each of these groups receives not only the financial support they need, but elders are required as a term of their lease to volunteer 7 or more hours per week interacting in some way with the community's children. In doing so, the children receive much needed mentorship and a sense of stability in the form of a grandparent figure.
We are so proud to serve as managers of this outstanding community, and feel that this recognition from the Urban Land Institute is both well-deserved and much appreciated. Congratulations on all you do, Bridge Meadows team!
