Village Green Senior Apartments sits on Kingston's beautiful waterfront and offers affordable living for seniors 62+. |
Waterfront living usually comes with a hefty price tag, but thanks to a local non-profit and an affordable housing developer, the quaint seaside town of Kingston, Washington will offer 35 brand new affordable apartments for independent seniors. Village Green Senior Apartments is an independent senior living community opening this fall that will serve seniors ages 62 and over and people with disabilities of any age. The project is a culmination of a joint venture between nonprofit provider Martha & Mary and private developer Shelter Resources, Inc. As one of Martha & Mary’s Senior Living communities, this award-winning campus is part of the Kingston Village Green initiative to create a park, community center, senior living community, and other amenities in the heart of Kingston. The initiative partners with the local Metropolitan Parks District.
Martha & Mary is partnering with Guardian Management to ensure this unique community delivers value and peace of mind to those looking for an independent living solution that is truly exceptional.
The Village Green development has generated tremendous interest in the community and surrounding area since breaking ground last August. Guardian Management began actively marketing and leasing earlier this summer and plans to utilize a temporary construction trailer placed in front the project for all leasing activity until the building is completed this fall.
"We are excited about this affordable senior housing project because it's such a good fit with our mission," said Chad Solvie, Martha & Mary's CEO. "This will be a fantastic new facility for Kingston, and it's a natural extension of Martha & Mary's 120-year heritage. We're here to meet the evolving needs of Kitsap families."

I really love how these apartments sound! It seems to me that it would be a perfect environment for any senior citizen to live in. I have been trying to help my grandparents find a good place to live, since they are worried about living on their own. I think that if they were to start looking at apartments like this, it would help them get a good idea of what they want. Do you know if these apartments usually have activities for all the residents so they can have good friends? I know that my grandparents are also looking for a good community as well! http://www.thecedarsrc.com/living-options/assisted-living/
