Congratulations to Our 2013 Award Winners!

I am very proud to announce several outstanding Guardian employees have won prestegious industry awards. Their achievements demonstrate exceptional skill and dedication to the organization, to their community and to their residents. Please join me in congratulating the following individuals:

USDA Rural Development Award Winner:

Manager of the Year - Senior Property: Jim Smithburg, Orchards Plaza

Jim is one of the most seasoned and exceptional Rural Development manager’s in our organization. He encouraged the start-up of a resident council, and now the council meets regularly to organize resident events, discuss resident issues, and encourage resident involvement. His residents submitted numerous recommendation letters on his behalf for this award. Jim is one of only two Rural Development award recipients in the entire state of Oregon.

AHMA Award Winner: (Affordable Housing Management Association)

Manager of the Year: Connie Lewis, Ridgeview Terrace

Connie has worked in property management for 21 years.  She currently manages Ridgeview Terrace, an 80 unit USDA/RD senior community in Mount Vernon, Washington.  Connie’s unwavering positive attitude, willingness to learn new skills and ability to mentor others has contributed to her success. 

Maintenance Technician of the Year: David Brand, Lincoln Village & The Jetty

David has been with Guardian since 2009.  He takes great pride in the quality of his work while keeping expenses down. His exceptional customer service and willingness to help out, demonstrate his professionalism and dedication to his job.
